Best concealed carry weapon?

I have my CCW and currently I'm alternating a S&W Scandium .357 j-frame and a 3" Kimber .45ACP Ultra CDP II.

I'm very accurate with the Kimber up to 25-yards, but can't hit squat with the j-frame even after lots of practice. It's too light to be effective, and frankly it looks like a toy gun. The only way I can get it under control is to load it with .38 specials, but that's not as effective.

I'm looking for something small and accurate, that can fit into a pocket or shorts, but can also knock down an attacker - at least disable an attacker.

Any suggestions? I also have a S&W M&P 9C, but even that is a bit heavy and tends to weigh down the belt.

I'd say a glock 26

I disagree @ the Glock 26.
The grip's too short, and it's a puny caliber. If you were going to go for that size, I recommend the Springfield XD40 Subcompact.

For something easily concealable, check out the Beretta Tomcat. It's a .32, and you can carry it in a small holster that looks like something you'd have a Palm Pilot in. It's small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. The holster clips on to your belt, and is made my North American Arms specifically for the NAA .32, but the Beretta fits fine, along with an extra clip.

I know many cops carry the Tomcat in an ankle holster.
Use .32 Corbon because it's the best.

You might also check out the SeeCamp .32--it's even smaller than the Beretta.

I know .32 is small, but my boss says that, according to the FBI, it has more one-stop shots than the .380.

why would he say that? the .380 is about the same diameter as a 9mm and has more velocity and pressure than the .32.

abbynormal, I recommend the XD40SC too. I have one, it's a great reliable pistol. It's extremely simple in design like most guns from Eastern Europe (Croatia). I neglect mine quite badly and I swear it'll never fail.

Phil, I have no idea. I presume he read it somewhere.
I realize .380 is 9mm short.

Personally, I do not care for the .32 or the .380 for self-defense. I mentioned the .32s because of the size. My preference is .45, but an officer s model 1911 is heavy for concealment.

By the way, targatop, I forgot to mention the Sig Sauer P239. .40, single-stack so it is slender and concealable. And the Taurus PT140, which is a little bigger, but not much.
